Another project that will provide significant contributions to our member medical device manufacturers is the Trade Capacity Development Project, supported by the Ministry of Economy. Within the scope of this 36-month project, we will offer our members comprehensive services including training and consultancy, overseas visits, and financial support for invited purchasing delegations.
The main objective of our project is to improve the capacities and increase the competitiveness of SMEs operating in the field of medical device manufacturing within the borders of Ankara Province, primarily in foreign trade, but also in matters related to both trade and manufacturing.
The results we aim to achieve after conducting studies in line with the general objective are:
The project aims to ensure that within 18 months of its completion, SMEs that are not currently exporting start exporting to at least one country, and that exporting SMEs increase their foreign trade volume by at least 5%; Within 18 months of the project's completion, the number of exported product varieties increases by at least 1% for each company; Within 18 months of the project's completion, the number of exported countries increases by at least one for each company; Within 24 months of the project's completion, expenditures related to certification and quality (training, consultancy, or document applications) increase by 5% for at least 5 companies; Within 18 months of the project's completion, manufacturing capacity (actual) increases by at least 3% in at least 5 companies, and employment increases by at least 1% in 10 companies in parallel with this increase; and The number of manufacturers in the Medical Industry cluster increases by at least 10%.
