OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster Participated in the TOBB Türkiye Medical Assembly Meeting
We, as the OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, took our place at the TOBB Turkey Medical Assembly Meeting, which was held with the participation of the President of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) Hüseyin Çelik, the General Director of Product Safety and Inspection of the Ministry of Trade Hakkı Karabörklü, the General Director of Customs Mustafa Gümüş, TOBB Board Member and President of the Ankara Chamber of Industry Seyit Ardıç, Deputy General Director of Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Technology Murat Yazgan, President of the TOBB Turkey Medical Assembly Levent Mete Özgürbüz and sector representatives.
During the meeting, under the agenda item titled “Customs, TAREKS (Turkish Medical Device Import Regulatory Authority) and Product Safety Practices in Medical Device Import Processes”, legislative practices, issues encountered in inspection processes, and proposed solutions were discussed. In the session, which brought together high-level officials from public institutions and sector representatives, consultations were held on making import and inspection mechanisms more effective.
