🩺🫁 Physician-Industry Meeting II in OSTİM: Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialists Examine Domestic Production Capacity On-Site!
The "Physician-Industry Meeting II: Anesthesia" event, organized by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate and the OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, was successfully completed, building a strong bridge between our physicians and industrialists.
As part of the program, our Deputy Chief Physicians, Anesthesiology and Reanimation specialists and associate professors from Bilkent and Etlik City Hospitals, and Medical Device Managers from the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate's Drug and Medical Device Services Department were hosted at OSTİM.
📊 From Presentations to Production Site
The program, which began with a general information session held in the OSTİM OSB Conference Hall, included detailed presentations by our Cluster Board Chairman Fatin Dağçınar and Cluster Coordinator Nilsu Erkanlı on our medical industry, clustering activities, and domestic production opportunities.
In his opening speech, our Cluster President Fatin Dağçınar touched upon the strategic importance of physician-industry collaboration, emphasizing that physicians' field experience, feedback, and guidance are vitally critical for the development and improvement of medical products. Stating that health technologies can only become high-quality in line with physicians' demands, Dağçınar underlined the need for this shared understanding and collaboration to continue uninterrupted.
Following the opening session, the delegation proceeded to site visits, inspecting the cluster member facilities that produce critical technologies in the field of anesthesia and resuscitation.

During their field visits, our anesthesiologists and administrators closely observed the high-tech devices, production lines, and R&D processes produced with domestic resources, and expressed their satisfaction with the level reached by the domestic medical industry and its technological competence.
Many of our physicians stated that they were not sufficiently aware of the existence of such an advanced infrastructure and internationally standardized production in the industry before, and emphasized the strategic importance of bringing their field experiences together with local producers. Highlighting that the event was extremely productive, our professors expressed their hope that such meetings, which strengthen physician-industry collaboration, would continue periodically.

As the OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, we will resolutely continue to develop our medical technologies in line with the valuable feedback and guidance of our physicians in the field, and to take steps to reduce dependence on foreign sources in healthcare through public-academia-industry collaboration.
