Azerbaijan's Trade Representative to Türkiye, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Tamerlan Taghiyev, visited OSTİM.
Tamerlan Taghiyev and his Chief Advisor Cavid Abdullayev met with OSTİM OSB Board Chairman Orhan Aydın and cluster coordinators to provide information about investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.
Tamerlan Taghiyev stated that Azerbaijan has free trade agreements with 10 countries in Eurasia and Central Asia, allowing for duty-free and tax-free exports to these countries. He emphasized that the formula that will give Turkish industrialists a competitive edge against China in exporting to countries with which Azerbaijan has Free Trade Agreements is to produce in Azerbaijan.
OSTİM OSB Board Chairman ORHAN AYDIN stated that they attach importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. Aydın noted that OSTİM could cooperate with an organized industrial zone, a technopark, and a technical university in Azerbaijan.
Esma Akyüz, Trade Coordinator of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Foreign Trade Coordination Office, provided information about the OSTİM production ecosystem and discussed cooperation opportunities with clusters.
