Within the scope of the Circular on International Competitiveness Development (UR-GE) Project Support, supported by the Ministry of Trade, the "Medical Industry Cluster V. UR-GE Project" targeting medical sector firms will be implemented under the coordination of our cluster.
What is the UR-GE Project?
The vision of the Circular on UR-GE Project Support, implemented by the General Directorate of Exports of the Ministry of Trade, is to initiate an export mobilization by activating local dynamics and establishing collaborations among companies under the leadership of collaborating organizations (OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster Association).
The circular was designed based on the understanding that SMEs with similar goals will have similar needs, that common problems for companies can be overcome more easily through the power of unity, and that regions can become attractive centers for the world by branding themselves in specific sectors. It was prepared using a clustering approach that addresses all these needs.
Project Objective
OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, which brings together companies producing in the healthcare sector and supporting organizations through a clustering model, a regional development model, started its activities as a platform in 2007 and obtained association status in 2011. Since 2007, it has increased its membership to over 120, reaching companies producing in many different areas of the medical sector.
To date, our cluster has successfully completed 3 UR-GE Projects and is currently continuing its work on the 4th UR-GE Project with 30 companies. With this new UR-GE Project, our cluster aims to raise the awareness of the companies, strengthen their infrastructure, and improve their export capacity.
Project Scope
Needs Analysis
At the beginning of the project, a roadmap is prepared by conducting individual and collective analyses of the companies.
Training and Consulting Activities
Technical training and consulting activities are carried out for companies based on the key issues highlighted in the needs analysis report.
International Marketing Activities
International trade fair visits, exhibition participation with booths, B2B bilateral business meetings, and purchasing delegations are organized for target markets.
Project Duration
The project duration is a maximum of 3 years.
Support Rate
75% of the total budget for each activity planned to be carried out during the project is supported by the Ministry of Trade. 100% of the participation fees are covered by the companies before the activity.

Who can apply?
• Become a member of the Medical Industry Cluster Association (If you are not yet a member, please visit https://www.medikalkume.com/uyelik-icerik-311 for application information.)
• Must be at least a limited liability company (Sole proprietorships are not eligible).
• To cover the contribution fee for each sub-activity of the project in which participation takes place.
• Not participating simultaneously in another UR-GE Project.
