At the 25th meeting of the High Council for Science and Technology (BTYK) held in January 2013, the health sector was identified as an area requiring support. Following this meeting, project studies on medical biotechnology were initiated under the leadership of TÜBİTAK. Furthermore, draft technology roadmaps were created for the fields of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, biomaterials, biomedical equipment, and medical diagnostic kits.
In line with these developments, the second "Biomedical Technologies Workshop," the first of which was held in 2012 by our Faculty, will take place on June 20, 2013.
The aim of the workshop is to contribute to the development of scientific and technological cooperation in the fields of biomedical engineering and biotechnology between the public sector, private sector, and universities. The workshop program is attached.
