Within the scope of the "Innovative Applications Financial Support Program" launched by the Ankara Development Agency of the Republic of Turkey in the second half of 2011, the idea of a "Health Technologies, Industrial Design Coordination Center" was developed, project planning studies were carried out to address the perceived need for industrial design, and the successful project commenced its activities on December 23, 2011.
This project aimed to increase the added value of healthcare products in Ankara through 'User and Beneficiary-Oriented Industrial Design,' thereby increasing the share of domestic production in national and international markets and contributing to regional and national development. By raising awareness of industrial design and consequently increasing the number of high value-added products, this project has undoubtedly made significant contributions to improving the preference rate and market share of these products.
At the closing meeting of the "HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES INDUSTRIAL DESIGN COORDINATION CENTER" project, one of the initiatives we undertook as the OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster to help our medical device and medical equipment manufacturers become preferred companies in international markets by producing value-added products, medical devices whose industrial designs we have completed and which belong to our cluster member manufacturers were exhibited.
