As the OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, we hosted a very valuable meeting to reflect the strength of our domestic medical industry on the ground and to take physician-industry collaboration to the highest level!
Within the scope of the "Physician-Industry Meeting" that we organized under the coordination of the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, we hosted our esteemed orthopedic physicians working at Etlik and Bilkent City Hospitals in OSTİM. We introduced the innovative orthopedic products produced by our cluster member companies using domestic resources to the physicians on-site, and together we evaluated the future of domestic healthcare technologies.
🤝 Shared Wisdom and Strategic Cooperation in Domestic Production
Speaking at the opening of our program, our OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın informed our physicians about OSTİM's technological infrastructure. Stating that the defense, aerospace, and medical industries are leading sectors in technological advancement, Aydın drew attention to the model of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Defense Industry Directorate, which is behind the great success achieved in the defense industry. Expressing that similar studies being carried out within our Ministry of Health are very valuable for our country, Aydın emphasized that our companies can be competitive under the umbrella of a clustering model through university and public sector cooperation, and that physician support is of strategic importance in the medical industry.
💡 "Technology evolves with the demands of our physicians"
Our Cluster Board Chairman, Fatin Dağçınar, noted that we are in strong cooperation with all stakeholders of the healthcare ecosystem. Stating that the role of our physicians is critical in developments in the medical industry, Dağçınar underlined the following important point:
"Unless our doctors request it and guide us, we, as manufacturers, cannot produce and put devices into use on our own. The development of the industry is directly proportional to the needs and guidance of our doctors in the field."

During the meeting, our Cluster Coordinator, Nilsu Erkanlı, informed the physicians about the general activities, vision, and projects of our cluster. Our Cluster Board Vice President, Selin Ariç Ersan, then presented the specific work of our cluster in the field of orthopedics and traumatology, showcasing our members' product portfolio which meets international standards.
