The 7th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster Association was held on June 5, 2026, in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Conference Hall. Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Board of Directors, was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Assembly, while Emel Saraç, Lecturer at Ostim Technical University, and Ali İhsan Ünlü, General Manager of Başkent University Biotechnology Technology Development Center, served as members of the Assembly Board.
Speaking at the opening of the General Assembly, Cluster Board Chairman Fatin Dağçınar touched upon the contribution of unity and solidarity to sectoral development and shared with the attendees the success of the cluster, which received the "Good Practice Award" within the scope of UR-GE activities with the presentation by the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat. OSTİM OSB Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, on the other hand, emphasized the strategic importance of the medical sector and drew attention to the key role of the producer-centered cluster structure in shaping health policies.
At the meeting, the activity report for the period 2023-2026, balance sheet, income and expenditure accounts, and audit committee reports presented by Cluster Coordinator Nilsu Erkanlı were unanimously approved after discussions. As another important item on the agenda, the mandatory amendments to the statutes, prepared in accordance with the requests of the Ankara Governorship Provincial Directorate of Civil Society Relations to ensure the association's operations comply with current legislation, were submitted to the General Assembly for approval and unanimously accepted.
At the general assembly, where sectoral expectations were also evaluated, decisions were made to increase consultancy and collaborative models in MDR, IVDR, and CE certification processes, to strengthen university-industry collaborations, and to take initiatives with relevant institutions to protect domestic producers.
The following individuals were unanimously elected as the new members of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board at the General Assembly: Fatin Dağçınar (HODJATECH), Yılmaz Salık (MIXTA A.Ş.), Selin Ariç Ersan (DORATEK), Onur Emre Gül (MEDTİM), Servet Kürümoğlu (DİSPOSET), Umut Doğu Kaya (NECATİ KAYA), Mehmet Aydıngün (TMS), Turabi Ünal (FİZYOMED), Fikret Küçükdeveci (KARDİNERO), Behzat Zeydan (OSTİM OSB), Osman Başhan (MOSLAB), and Hasan Hüseyin Ayar (METISAFE).
The meeting concluded with the Chairman of the Board, Orhan Aydın, expressing his gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed to the medical cluster to date and wishing that the new period would be beneficial for the sector, the members, and the country.
